Northern Waterthrush  Seiurus noveboracensis

The Northern Waterthrush resides in the territories of the Northern Great Lakes, Canada and Appalachian region, showing a definite distinction in behavior as it bobs the rear half of its body up and down as it walks, as if teetering. 
Preferring sluggish and standing water, it breeds in coniferous forests with shrubby bogs or near the edges of northern lakes, as its diet consists of water bugs, water beetles, damsel flies, slugs, snails and small crustaceans.
Its nest would usually be located in a small hollow in a  moss covered stump, under a bank, or up to two feet above ground in the roots of an upturned tree
